Programs

YPIA presently runs 5 major inter-disciplinary Programs and Communities based on world regions for targeted professional interests and member-based community building:

Sub-Saharan Africa (AFR): Focus on issues and cultures concerning Sub-Saharan African countries and territories and Africa-associated institutions such as the AfDB, AU, Regional Economic Communities, and UNEP. Works with MENA Program on issues of Continent-wide concern. Partners with AMER Program to address critical issues in international development.  If interested in participating, please contact the AFR Program Team.

THE AMERICAS (AMER): Focus on issues and cultures concerning the Western Hemisphere, traditional Inter-American institutions, and alternative emerging regimes. On behalf of all YPIA, monitors US ‘inter-mestic’ and general foreign policy issues. ASIA-PACIFIC (APAC): Focus on issues and cultures concerning East, South, and Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands. On behalf of all YPIA, monitors Asia-Pacific and Trans-Pacific regimes including but not limited to ADB, AIIB, ASEAN, APEC, EAS, BFA, BIMSTEC, MCG, RCEP, SAARC, SCO, SLD, and TTP.  If interested in participating, please contact the APAC Program Team.

EUROPE & EURASIA (EUR): Focus on issues and cultures concerning the countries of the EU, Former Soviet Bloc, EAEU, and other member countries/territories concerning Europe and Eurasia-based multilateral institutions such as the CoE, NATO, IFRC, OECD, MSF, WHO, UNESCO, etc.  If interested in participating, please contact the EUR Program Team.

MIDDLE EAST & NORTH AFRICA (MENA): Focus on issues and cultures concerning the countries/territories of the Arabian Peninsula, the Mashriq/Levant, Egypt, the Maghreb, and Iran. Responsible for Middle East & North Africa-based multi-lateral organizations such as the AL, GCC, and the OIC.  If interested in participating, please contact the MENA Program Team.
